Indian Ocean

The Indian Ocean is the third largest of the world's oceans, covering one-fifth of the planets water surface. Fringed by the Arabian Peninsula and the continent of Africa to the east, Asia and the Indian subcontinent to the north and Malaysia, the south-east Asian archipelago and Australia to the west, the Indian Ocean is home to many of the world's most sought after holiday island destinations, principal amongst which are Seychelles, Mauritius, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

The natural beauty of the volcanic island of Mauritius is simply breathtaking, surrounded by magnificent coral reefs and an abundance of colourful sea life. Mauritius is resplendent with stunning scenery including vast central sugar cane plantations, sub-tropical forests, rivers, streams and beautiful waterfalls.

Sri Lanka, an Indian Ocean island located just 20 miles off the southern most tip of India, is another magnificent tropical paradise blessed with beautiful golden beaches, palm fringed coastlines and good weather. A holiday to Sri Lanka would not be complete without a visit to one of its many national parks which thrive with fascinating wildlife, including hundreds of elephants and the world's densest population of leopards. Great food, warm hospitality, sunshine beaches and bags of culture.

Cast like gems upon an azure ocean, the Seychelles is one of the most unspoilt places in the world. Glorious tropical weather and palm-fringed beaches promise the ultimate island getaway.

The Maldives is scattered like a string of pearls southwest of Sri Lanka. Only 200 of these beautiful islands are inhabited, with many hosting some of the world's most luxurious holiday resorts. 1,190 tropical islands make up the 26 atolls, ring-like coral formations enclosing a lagoon, giving the Maldives their unique appearance, making them one of the most popular diving areas in the world.
